Panama has 7 indigenous groups which vary in individual size. The Indigenous groups are Bokota, Embera, Guaymí, Guna, Ngöbe-Buglé, Talamanca, Trive and Wounaan. 
Water sports
There are many water sports that can be practiced in Panama. Between these water sports are fishing, skiing, surfing, boating, snorkeling, kayaking, river rafting, and many others. 
Canal tours
One of the main attractions in Panama City is the canal. You will find different tour options to choose from. You can sail through the full canal length from Pacific to Caribbean or take a partial cruise on the Pacific side.

With great restaurants, plenty of outdoor activities, a volcano, a river and mountain forests, Boquete offers an alternative to the tropical environment found in the rest of the country. Visit the coffee plantation of Finca Dos Jefes: The volcanic soil of Boquete, combined with a humid climate and fresher temperatures, offers perfect conditions for growing some of the world’s most prestigious varieties of coffee.

Gaze at both the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans from the summit of the Barú Volcano: The Barú Volcano is one of the top attractions when visiting Boquete. Though the hike to the summit is very challenging, the view is absolutely unique. Go whitewater rafting on the Chiriquí Viejo River: Panama’s Chiriquí Viejo River provides the ultimate rafting experience for people of all skill levels.

Today you will hike up to the Baru Volcano. You will be picked up from you hotel in the morning to begin a lovely drive uphill to the Volcan Baru National Park Ranger Station. From there you will start the challenging hike to the highest point of Panama. 

Depending on your level of fitness you will reach the top between 4 and 6 hours. If the weather conditions are good, you will be able to see both oceans from the top of the volcano. On the summit you will enjoy a picnic lunch. While hiking up the volcano you will encounter 6 different climate zones: humid mountain forest, low humid mountain forest, low humid mountain rainforest, mountain rainforest, very humid mountain rainforest and pre-mountain rainforest. The average annual temperatures vary between 20°C at the Park Ranger Station to under 10°C on the top of the volcano. 

In the afternoon you will hike back down, this takes between 3 and 5 hours. After the tour you will be dropped off at your hotel.

From your hotel, you will be driven to Almirante. This drive is approximately 3.5 hours and from there, you will be taken on a shared boat from Almirante to Isla Colon. Bocas del Toro is a province of Panama comprising an island chain off the Caribbean coast, plus a section of the nearby mainland with a biodiverse rainforest. Isla Colón, the main island, is home to the capital, Bocas Town, a central hub with restaurants, shops and nightlife. Popular beaches include Boca del Drago. Also on Isla Colón is Starfish Beach, named for the numerous sea stars on its ocean floor. 

Enjoy some time at Isla Colon before taking the boat transfer to your hotel which is located on a nearby island called Popa Island.

You will be picked up from your hotel for this afternoon shared Panama City tour. Your guide will take you to the Amador Causeway, a road that connects three Islands in the Pacific Ocean and offers magnificent views on the Canal on one side and on the skyline of Panama City on the other side. 

The tour continues to the Casco Viejo, Panama City’s colonial quarter. At the Casco Viejo you'll feel set back in time as you admire the lovely colonial houses, the narrow roads and the impressive churches. While visiting the highlights of this colonial district – the Cathedral, the golden Altar, French Plaza and the Huertas Passway – you will sure get an idea on Panama’s long and interesting history.

After a transfer from your hotel to Flamenco Marina, the partial transit starts with a motor coach ride for 45 minute to the town of Gamboa where the Panama Canal Dredging Division is located. Once in Gamboa, you will aboard the cruise ship to start the water portion of the tour. 

You will enter the canal at the north end of the Gaillard Cut, where the Charges River flows into the Canal. The Gaillard Cut (also known as Culebra Cut because its curves resemble a snake) is one of the main points of interest for visitors because it was carved through the Continental Divide and this section of the Canal is full of history and geological value. 

Your boat will travel the Cuts 13.7km on the way to Pedro Miguel Locks. As you transit the Cut you will be able to appreciate the continuous maintenance that this area requires, because it is very susceptible to landslides. In this area you will also be able to observe the work in process for the Panama Canal expansion project.

Before reaching the Pedro Miguel Locks at the southern end of the Cut, you will be able to view the new Centennial Bridge which crosses over the Canal. Next, your ship will enter Pedro Miguel Locks, which is one of the two sets of locks on the Pacific side, and here the vessel is lowered 9m in one step. You will then enter Miraflores Lake, which is a small artificial body of fresh water that separates Pedro Miguel from Miraflores Locks, the latter being the final set of locks before reaching the Pacific Ocean. At Miraflores Locks the vessel is lowered 18m in two distinct steps. 

Once in the Pacific Ocean the vessel will sail to the beautiful Flamenco Marina where you disembark. On the way to Flamenco, you will pass under the Bridge of the Americas, and later, you will be able to admire the Bay of Panama and Panama Citys splendorous skyline. Upon arrival at Flamenco you will be transferred back to your city hotel.
