You will be picked up form your hotel to begin this 3 hour walking tour.  You will begin by visiting the principal attractions of the Historic Centre of Salvador, the renowned Pelourinho. The Pelourinho is the largest assemblage of colonial building in Latin America and a UNESCO World Heritage site. 

Strolling the cobbled stone streets of the colonial district, flanked by houses in pastel shades, we will visit the exuberant São Francisco Church, most ornate Baroque church in Brazil. On a larger scale, the nearby imposing Cathedral where we see the progression of the tropical Baroque from its first tendencies to the refinement of the Rococo. We continue to the Municipal Square towering above the Lower City offering wonderful views of the All Saints bay. Return to the hotel on foot accompanied by your guide.

The Bahia Folklore Company (Balé Folclórico da Bahia) is one of the most respected folklore dance troupes in the world. The company performs in the intimate Miguel Santana Theatre in the Pelourinho area, putting on a stunning presentation of the multiple African traditions that heavily influence the Bahian culture. 

We will see some of the sacred dances of Candomblé, as well as puxada de rede, a song by fishermen in honor of Yemanjá, the goddess of the sea; maculelê, an acrobatic stick and sword dance with its origins in the cane fields; capoeira, a martial art/dance of Angolan origin; and the samba de roda, a spinning, swirling version of this exuberant national dance. 

You will be picked up form your hotel and drive for approximately 1.5 hours to get to the stunning beach city of Praia de Forte.

Praia do Forte, one of Brazil's most attractive beaches. It is a long beach with a small village 80 km away from the city of Salvador de Bahia, located in northeastern Brazil and facing the Atlantic Ocean. The beach is known for its clear waters, white sand, natural pools, rivers and an ecological reserve of native flora and fauna. Here is a list of the top things to do in this beach side city:

- You can get up early and watch the sunrise - one of the most beautiful in Brazil 

- Visit the local base of Projeto Tamar, a non-governmental organization which protects sea turtles. The base is open year long. From July to September, biologists are managing the nests; in the summer, the newly hatched turtles do their race to the sea.  

- Watch humpback whales from July to October 

- The fort which gave the beach its name is no longer standing. But you can take a tour of the 16th-century Garcia D'Ávila Castle, located on a hilltop and just two kilometers from the village. Built in 1551, the castle, also known as Casa da Torre, is the only construction with medieval characteristics in the Americas. 

- Walk, ride a bike, a horse or a quadricycle at Reserva de Sapiranga, an Atlantic rainforest preservation area with seven signaled trails. You can also take a dip in the Pojuca River. 

-Go on an adventure. Praia do Forte offers parasailing, buggy tours, and canoe rides on the Timeantube Lagoon alongside many more adventurous outings.

- Visit a fishermen's village where you can find a popular market place and restaurants

You will be picked up from your hotel for this tour. This buggy tour allows you to choose between two beach itineraries, to the north or to the south of the village of Praia do Forte.

North beaches: Starting from Praia do Forte you will see the best beaches on the north coast. We pass on the beautiful Imbassai Beach, where the Imbassai River meets the Sea, this is a great place for swimming and activities such as canoeing and stand-up paddle boarding. 

We will then continue to the beach that served as a stage for the Brazilian film "Men are from Mars, that's where I go", the Paradise beach of Santo Antonio, where it is possible to swim in the natural pools that are formed at low tide. 

Optional lunch on the beaches or in the famous Restaurant Sombra da Mangueira, located in the Diogo village (cost of lunch not included). In the afternoon, return to Praia do Forte

South beaches: also leaving from Praia do Forte this south beach buggy tour will take you to the most structured beaches of the coast. We pass on the quiet Itacimirim Beach, Praia da Espera, famous for the wonderful natural pools and sand stretch on the beach. 

Then we will continue to Guarajuba Beach, where some of the best beach huts in the area are located. The place stands out due to its coconut trees, white sand, and warm waters. There will be time for lunch at a local seafront restaurant (cost of lunch not included). In the afternoon, return to Praia do Forte.

You will be picked up form your hotel for this 4 hour city tour. This scenic tour will take you past Recife’s famous Boa Viagem beach which is a lively 7-mile stretch of sandy beach, with swimming only in areas protected by natural reefs to the city centre. This city centre has colonial districts, old churches, and network of rivers and bridges.

The coastline of Brazil is huge and dotted all along it are some of the country’s most beautiful beaches complete with turquoise sea and a hot, sunny climate. One of these places is Porto de Galinhas, a small beachside town in the north of Brazil that is known for its white sand and crystal clear rock pools teeming with marine life. Most people go there for sand, sea, and sunshine – so here are the some of the beaches in Porto de Galinhas. 

Porto de Galinhas Beach: Let’s start with the most obvious one: the Porto de Galinhas beach. This is probably the first one you will notice as it’s right in front of the town center and its fine, white sand stretches for miles. It’s the beach the majority of tourists to Porto de Galinhas visit yet it’s so big that it rarely gets crowded and you will find yourself with plenty of space if you want to get away from it all. The part of the beach which connects to the town is catered for by several bars and restaurants which serve drinks and food on the beach, while the rest of the beach is untouched and backed by palm trees and vegetation. The natural pools teeming with marine life can be found at Porto de Galinhas beach and make wonderful snorkeling spots.

Praia Dos Carneiros: One of the main attractions at Porto de Galinhas is the Praia dos Carneiros beach which can only be accessed by boat trip. The beach there is eye-catching and not just because it’s a typical paradisical shore of golden sand, turquoise sea, and backed by rows of coconut trees. In the middle of the beach right on the sand is a small white church that dates back to the 18th century. Sometimes it’s open, sometimes it’s not – the opening times are sporadic. However, if you arrive on a day when it is open, make sure to go inside to check out the well-preserved architecture.

Cupe Beach: Just north of the Porto de Galinhas beach is Cupe beach which is the popular surfing spot among locals. The large waves and strong currents will challenge even the more advanced surfer so if you are a beginner surfer or don’t feel confident about swimming, take extra care when in the sea there or opt for enjoying the peace and quiet of the beach and watch the surfers there instead. There are several hotels and guesthouses nearby so there are some simple restaurants and bars close by if you are feeling peckish.

Toquinho Beach: With powdery white sand, sky blue water, and natural rock pools full of small tropical fish, Toquinho beach is stunning and remains free from the tourist crowds that gather on the main Porto de Galinhas beach. However, one of the main attractions of Toquinho Beach is not the beach itself; rather, it’s what lies in front of it. Just across the sea and only a short boat trip away is the uninhabited island of Ilha de Santo Aleixo which, with its Caribbean-like scenery, is one of the most beautiful places in Porto de Galinhas yet surprising isn’t that well-known.

You will be picked up from your hotel by your guide in a buggy and begin this full day tour to Calhetas beach. The cape beaches tour covers two sides: the historic and the sun and the sea. 

Initially, we will head to the Church of Nazareth, located in Cabo de Santo Agostinho. We will follow the historical circuit in our buggies through the locality to the lookout. The buggy ride also heads to the nearby beaches of Calhetas, with a stop for sea bathing and an explanation about the culture and local activities. 

Some attractions visited include: Church of Our Lady of Nazareth, Mirante Nazaré, Ruins of the Carmelite Convent, Fort Castelo do Mar, Gaibu Beach, Enseadas Beach, Xaréu Beach, plus many more attractions.

You will have free time for lunch, which is included, and a sea bath and photos. At a time to be arranged, you will return by car to your hotel in Porto de Galinhas.
